Savings Accounts

The Credit Union offers many opportunities to save and invest including Regular Share Savings, Term Share Accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, and Holiday Club Accounts. The benefits of belonging to NCFCU quickly add up to secure your financial future.

Regular Share Savings
A minimum of $5 is required to open an account and secure membership in the Credit Union. Daily dividends are compounded and paid quarterly.

Term Share Accounts
A wise and safe way to put your money to work for you. When you invest in a Term Share Account, you invest your money for a pre-determined length of time. NCFCU offers Term Share Accounts for terms of six months, 12 months, 24 months and 36 months. Funds invested in a Term Share Account earn dividends at a rate greater than that on a Regular Share Account. Minimum deposit is $1,000, $5,000 or $10,000.  Please call for details on all of our Term Share Account  programs.

Individual Retirement Accounts
These accounts help secure your financial future. IRAs offer an excellent tax-deferred investment. NCFCU offers both Share IRAs and one-year Term Share Accounts. Be sure to seek competent tax advice about your specific IRA investments.

Holiday Club Accounts
Club Accounts help you save for the holiday season or a special occasion or event. Daily dividends are compounded and paid quarterly. The minimum deposit is $10.

Direct Deposit
Safe, fast and convenient. Your net paycheck comes directly to your Credit Union account for distributions that you specify.

Payroll Deduction
Payroll Deduction lets you allocate a portion of you paycheck to painlessly paydown on loans or build up your savings.

Make arrangements for either direct deposit or payroll deduction directly with your employer. You will need the routing and transit number for National Capital FCU – 055080295 – along with your credit union account number. If you want your direct deposit to go directly to your checking account, you must provide your checking account number.
